Dr. Mannos is an expert in broadband communication, signal processing, and video/image processing. Prior to joining WISchip Technologies, he was co-founder and vice president of Engineering at Maverick Networks, a switching startup purchased by Broadcom. Dr. Mannos was also cofounder of Rambus, and of FTL (purchased by MIPS Computer). He served as president of Sony Microsystems and general manager of the Business Graphics group at S3. He received a B.S. and M.S. from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a Ph.D. from University of California, Berkeley, all in electrical engineering and computer science. He is a member of Tau Beta Pi, Eta Kappa Num, and Sigma XI professional engineering societies.
